No idea how this happened, but when I go to start my XP box after school, it boots, attempts to load the logon screen, and a lovely, lovely error pops up stating: "Winlogon.

It would not even open in safe mode as it can't use winlogon. I tried to get it to boot from the CD XP Home service pack 1a but it refused, even after going into boot sequence and making the CD drive tops.

So I can't install a recovery console.
